| CMOS Sensor for Full-HD Movies Full-HD recording with even higher quality has been achieved by a new pixel alignment method that produces more than twice the amount of information as required by the 1920 x 1080-pixel full-HD specification. With a larger area for each individual pixel in comparison with conventional image sensors, the new CMOS sensor captures much more light and records with greater sensitivity. Thanks to its low noise level, it also produces smearless images. This combines with a wider dynamic range to provide richer, more natural gradations. Still images with 4-megapixel resolution also benefit from this higher sensitivity. |
